Pressure Regulating & Metering Skids/Stations
A Pressure Regulating and Metering Station (PRMS) is a major component in gas distribution and transmission systems, responsible for controlling gas pressure and measuring gas flow. These stations ensure a consistent and safe gas supply to consumers by regulating the gas pressure to a desired level and measuring the amount of gas consumed.
System Includes
Gas Filtration
A gas cartridge filtration system uses replaceable filter cartridges to remove contaminants from a gas stream thus protecting further skids components like regulators, metering system.
Pressure Regulation
It includes pressure control valves to regulate the gas pressure based on the downstream conditions, maintaining a stable outlet pressure despite variations in flow or inlet pressure.
Metering
These stations includes flow meters (Turbine/USM/RPD) to accurately measure the volume of gas passing through them, providing data for billing and system monitoring.
Safety
PRMSs incorporate safety features like overpressure protection, shut-off valves, and alarms to prevent dangerous situations and ensure the integrity of the gas network.
